“Why don’t I believe in God? No, no no, why do YOU believe in God? Surely the burden of proof is on the believer. You started all this. If I came up to you and said, “Why don’t you believe I can fly?” You’d say, “Why would I?” I’d reply, “Because it’s a matter of faith.” If I then said, “Prove I can’t fly. Prove I can’t fly see, see, you can’t prove it can you?” You’d probably either walk away, call security or throw me out of the window and shout, ‘’Fucking fly then you lunatic.”

It seems unreal that the semester is coming to a close

I can still remember that iconic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and feeling completely alive and new. I can’t believe these 3 months have gone by so quick. I have made so many friends a memories that will stick with me all my life. It seems even crazier to think about where I was a year ago. Feeling quite alone and ready to be done with high school. I am so thankful to be here and I don’t know how I will bare being away from this city for six weeks.

Not to be vein, but my friend Hanna took this picture of me and she is an outstanding photographer. Follow her, you won’t regret it! So creative and talented! :)

I took this at the Observatory, and I love it because the silhouette makes you realize how big the world really is.

All the more for that.”

Hot Fuss will forever be on of my favorite albums. I used to listen to it in an actual CD player when I was in middle school. Even if you become less attached to an album in place of another one that better fits your current situation, when you hear a track from it, that feeling of being 13 and in your room, alone, with the music blasting and the lights off floods over your whole body. Music is quite an amazing thing.

The funny thing about Americans is that

Some of us believe that it is our goal to liberate oppressed nations of the world and ensure that liberal democracies are instated everywhere.

Something so many of us are oblivious to is the fact that we are the oppressor of Puerto Rico, a country that does not have a a liberal democracy because WE represent them and dictate what happens in their territory. We have no knowledge of their culture, nor do we live on their grounds, but we control their actions.

For a country opposing nations that are not represented by the people, we areincredibly hypocritical.

The colonial era is done for, it is time for Puerto Rico to have its well deserved independence.

I don’t remember the last phone call I had that lasted more than 10 minutes

Sad.

Tomorrow

I leave for a month-long adventure in Spain.

I have no real idea what I’m in for, but that is why it is called an adventure!

Ciao!
